Alessio Silvestrin, graduated from Academie de Dance Classique Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo and studied at the Ecole Atelier Rudra Bejart in Lausanne as well. Studied at the Music Conservatory "A. Pedrollo" in Vicenza and at the Academie de Musique Prince Ranier III in Monte-Carlo. Danced and worked as choreographer with Bejart Ballet Lausanne directed by Maurice Bejart, Ballet de l'Opera National de Lyon directed by Yourgos Loukos and with Ballet Frankfurt directed by William Forsythe. He works as guest dancer, choreographer and associated artist of The Forsythe Company. Since 2003 he is a freelance artist resident in Japan involved in different kinds of activities. Among his works: in 2005 Aichi Arts Center in Nagoya commissioned him to choreograph, direct and perform "Bluebeard's Doors", based on Bela Bartokfs one act opera "Bluebeard's Castle", performed his work "Ritrovare/Derivare" with the Noh actor Reijiro Tsumura at the Venice Biennale, choreographed for the dance company Noism 05 in Niigata and collaborated with Michael Schumacher and the composer Thom Willems at the New National Theater in Tokyo. In 2007 He performed in the installation "Additive Inverse" by William Forsythe for the opening program of the building by the Japanese architect Tadao Ando 21_21 Design Sight and has choreographed and exhibited his visual art work in the frame of the Konbu Project at Ycam Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media. In 2008 he received the commission to choreograph and direct for opening of the Sao Paulo Conpanhia de Danca in Sao Paulo, Brasil.
