Wolfgang Stollwitzer
Born in Graz (Austria) where he trained and at John Cranko School in Stuttgart. In 1979, he joined Stuttgart Ballet and received principal status by 1986. There he was given the opportunity to work and create roles with choreographers such as McMillan, Van Manen, Bejart, Neumeier, etc. In 1995 he joined Birmingham Royal Ballet and at this time besides dancing major roles, he took part in a degree program provided by the University of Birmingham and promoted as Master of Arts (Applied Studies in dance). He then went on to take part in a teacherfs course at the Royal Academy of Dance in London and gained there the professional teachers status. He is now a freelance dance teacher and taught at Elmhurst School of Dance, the Birmingham Royal Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, Ballet Hannover and Ballet Ljubljana.
