Junior Intensive Workshop with Ilja Lowen
Intensive workshop for young dancers aged bitween 8 to 13/12 to 16.
Classical ballet, point work and contemporary dance!
This workshop offers a very good opportunity to relearn and brush up the basics.
Ilia gives corrections to make a good alignment and muscles, take out bad habits.
Students will find a joy of dancing and musicality.
Watching Ilia's beautiful demonstration would be a good incentive to make them
improve in this short period.
Taking contemporary dance class at the same time, students learn the way using
muscles which they are not used to use in ballet technique.
[Dates/Courses]
Course A: 2014 May 3rd Saturday and 4th Sunday 12:00-15:30
for students aged 8 to 13. required to be trained in ballet for at least 3years.
Course B: 2014 May 5th Monday and 6th Tuesday (both national holidays) 12:00-15:30
for students aged 12 ot 16. required to be trained in ballet for at least 5years.
*please do not hesitate to ask about students' ages and experiences as there will be some gaps in between each students.
*students are welcome to take both courses A and B. please contact to studio staffs about studensnts' ages.
*about students aged in between both courses and not sure which course is suitable for them, please contact to studio stadds.

12:00-14:00 classical ballet and point work
14:15-15:30 contemproary dance
*point work is suitable for students already trained in point technique.
*point work for course A will be 10mins, for course B will be 20mins.
[Fees]
Course A/B (2days) with point work : 17,000yen
Course A/B (2days) without point work : 16,000yen
Taking both course A and B with/without point work : 30,000yen
*20students are maximum for each courses. (in order of applications)
*Please bring:
-bibs with your first name on it.
-ballet shoes
-point shoes if you are taking point work.
-socks for contemproary dance class.

[Teacher] Ilja Lowen
She started her career with Scapino Ballet in 1987. In 1992, she moved to Deutshe Oper am Rhein and then joined Zurich Ballet in 1996. She danced with Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo 2001-2002 and with Ballet Victor Ullate 2002-2003. In 2005, she danced at “Malakhov and friends” and currently she has been working as a guest artist for numerous companies and gala. She has been also teaching for some of dance schools and companies in Europe.
