Sandra Asensi studied ballet with V. Ullate and C. Roche in Madrid, and obtains the superior degree in the Real Conservatorio de Madrid. Aged 17, she starts working with H. Spoerli company in Basel. She then joins the J. Neumeier company in Hamburg, dancing solo roles in the classics (Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, Sleeping beauty, etc.), and several neoclassical pieces. In 2000, she enters as soloist in the Lyon opera ballet, working with a large number of neoclassical and modern choreographers as Kylian, Mats Ek, Duato, M. Marin, A. Prejlocaj, T. Tharp, Forsyth, O. Naharin, etc. She is now teaching ballet in the Conservatory in Madrid.
