Creation workshop + studio performance by Fabien Priovolle, former dancer of Pina Bausch Tanztheater, LaLaLa Humansteps
Based mostly on material composition, the workshop is aiming at
expanding the field of research of an artiste by coaching a serial of
exercise, where creativity occupies the main field of research.
Motivated by theme suitable for material composition based ideas, the participant is ask to challenge himself with the task of a answering some questions, in a physical or theatrical way, allowing himself to push further his own borders.
Later on the same process is ask again, but this time it is focusing on movement. Where a real awareness and knowledge of the moment is becoming the task to achieve. Narrowing down the dance to a precise body language in direct connection to what the mind wants to say by teaching dancers on how to get rid of old habits when it comes to perform and dance. Habits in the gestures, movements, and the act of performing.

【Teacher】Fabien Prioville
Graduated at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine (CNDC) in Angers. After this, he worked with Édouard Lock and his company La La La Human Steps in Canada before going to Philippe Blanchard in Stockholm. In 1999, he went to Pina Bausch´s Tanztheater Wuppertal. He has been working as a freelance dancer and choreographer since 2006 with Josef Nadj and Davis Freeman, among others. Remittance work brought him to New York’s Juilliard School and to Japan and Australia. In 2010 he founded his own dance company and since then he has created three pieces. His solo “Jailbreak Mind” was created in 2009 in
co-production with the tanzhaus nrw and Trafó Budapest and is still
touring internationally. With this piece he was invited to the German Tanzplattform in Nürnberg. His trio „NOUS“, is the second co-production with tanzhaus nrw and Trafó Budapest. It premiered in February 2011 at the festival Temps d’images. For the year 2012 he is preparing his next piece as a co-production with tanzhaus nrw and the Attakkalari Biennale in Bangalore / India.
In "Experiment on Chatting Bodies" third co-production with tanzhaus,Fabien Prioville and Pascal Merighi are interacting live with people on Skype. His last creation "The Smartphone Project", mixes dance,installation, and theater, in a piece where people download an App on their smartphone and use it to interact with the performance.
